Media Elementary School is in the news over MLK shirt given to students.

  1. Not just Media Elementary, but Rose Tree as well. The shirt does not appear on Indian Lane or Glenwood pictures (I highly doubt Mr. Bucci would allow, being the reasonable fellow he is). If I were the Media and Upper Providence police, I would be showing up in dress blues at the next school board meeting - what administrator in their right minds would distribute a shirt with the words 'police brutality' on it? Dr. MLK would NOT approve, as his sign would say ALL LIVES MATTER....including the black and the blue. This is severe disrespect to our law enforcement, and whoever in the PTG signed up for this should be disbarred.

  2. This has been happening for years. First graders(7 year olds?) with save the rain forest buttons back in the 80's. The agenda of the NEA and PSEA is indoctrinate early. Amazed that the Republican political leadership has been asleep all these years and hasn't found out what is being taught in their schools. You would expect this brainwashing in WSSD. It just isn't summer reading, but History Lesson plans should also be reviewed.

    1. Is this the same WSSD whose high school has outperformed Penncrest on virtually all academic measures over the past few years? 5 points better on PA's school performance profile, plus a few spots higher on US News rankings.

    2. Those rankings do not measure the educating prowess of any school district. If they did, they would test kids at 1rst grade and then retest them periodically and compare school districts on which district improved the academic abilities from start to finish. The schools at the top of the list often are bolstered by favorable demographics ie income level and education of parents.

  3. FAKE NEWS

WHERE ARE THE SIGNS THAT SAY:

    SAY NO TO DRUGS

    STAY IN SCHOOL

    FAMILY VALUES SHOULD BE VALUED

    LOVE AND RESPECT EACHOTHER

    PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

IT TAKES PARENTS (NOT A VILLAGE)
    TO RAISE RESPECTFUL YOUTH

    RESPECT THE POLICE

  4. Hmmm — and here I thought the man stood for certain things, like elementary civil rights. Is the problem is that we have a national holiday in his honor? They always struck me as the kind of thing a nation celebrates!

You don’t like “police brutality” on a t-shirt — others don’t like it in their lives. I would even go so far as to suggest that Dr. King was one of them!

  5. I love how the minimum wage argument is hidden among the signs - this is a pure leftist agenda molded in with Dr King's holiday with a goal of indoctrinating the youth while attacking anyone against it as "racist" and "bigoted". Great job with the message, folks!

  6. The leftist are quickly being exposed for the hypocrites that they are. Imagine if the signs on the shirt said #MAGA or "Build the Wall" behind MLK?

It's the double standard especially with the mainstream media that people are fed up with.

Ashamed my kids go to this school. The PTG is s a joke and should apologize.

  7. Look left and look right parents - if you contributed your 'suggested' PTG dues, then you are lumped in with them. The PTG decision makers are nothing but frustrated authoritarian wannabees and this is the way they handle their power? No thanks.

  8. This blog/website is like a conspiracy website. What is next Bob Mcmahon is an alien. Borough council is filled with people from another dimension. Leftist are really closet conservatives. Jim Wigo is a mafia don. Frank Daly told me I was a credit to the community just don't do that again. Go Eagles!

  9. Do the people claiming the lefist are in control really hide out in their basements. Hitler was a lefist as was George Bush. I use to listen to Howard Stern's radio show in the 90's Trump was a frequent guest in spite of his worry about contracting an STD he was such a liberal punk.

  11. if black lives matter so much to you - signs popping up in the media area like the hate has no home here lawn-sign weeds. i suggest you move to chester for a year and then see how you feel about police brutality - racists hiding behind sheets are a lot less frightening than leftists hiding behind t-shirts and lawn-signs....

  12. OMG. The nerve. Next thing you know they'll make our kids wear Che Guevara berets, tell them to think for themselves, start a communal farm, or tune into C-SPAN or NPR or some other crazy leftist nonsense. Don't worry folks, it'll all be over soon. #Shi-tholeNation

    1. Science Friday is the best on NPR. Science is not a liberal conspiracy.

    2. You confuse facts with liberal feelings. If facts "Science" actually meant something to them, abortion would be looked at differently. Or how about socialism? Is Venezuela fact or fiction? The science of it all means everyone gets the same.

Chester, PA? Are people shooting each other on almost a daily basis fact or fiction? What exactly is the "Science" behind that? How about the FBI statistics that would support your Science?

  13. Roddy P: It is well known MLK campaigned for a national minimum (i.e. livable) wage.

By the way, I have a Black Lives Matter sign in my yard. If you truly believe that “all lives matter” then it only makes sense that you would want to draw attention to those most in jeopardy.
