  1. I think they should also look into the traffic at 5th and Orange...people fly through these stop signs all the time.

  3. I'm concerned with the lack of observance of the crosswalk on Providence Rd between 4th & 5th near the Holly House. I cross there multiple times a day and cars refuse to stop despite the signage and flashing lights. Its very dangerous. I cross with a baby and fear for our safety on a daily basis. Many children and elderly also cross at this location. I've had drivers gesture in anger and honk at me for crossing. I don't understand why this crosswalk is ignored. I believe a period of enforcement might help resolve the issue. A traffic light might disrupt traffic further, but if enforcement doesn't work then that may the only way to make crossing Providence safe for pedestrians.

  4. Unfortunately for those of us who live in the borough we are an island surrounded on all sides by a development philosophy that puts the car - and only the car - first. As far as I can tell sidewalks and pedestrians are effectively banned in Middletown, Edgemont, and Upper Providence. As a result when drivers from these areas roll into town they have little regard for pedestrians. They are an annoyance that gets in the way of their getting to where they are going as fast as possible.
